Insurance and Superbills
To uphold the highest quality of care, I do not accept insurance. This enables us to select a treatment approach that is best suited for you and not dictated by insurance companies or contingent on a diagnosis. Should you wish to try and seek reimbursement from your personal health insurance, I would be happy to provide you with a receipt of services or "superbill". It is advised that you reach out to your insurance provider to learn about your specific coverage for out-of-network counseling. Contact me for a "cheat sheet" of helpful questions to ask your insurance company to learn more about your benefits.
Cancellation Policy
Your appointment time is reserved for you and you alone. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, I ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice. If you miss a session without canceling, or cancel/reschedule with less than 24 hours notice, you are responsible for the full session fee.
Notice of Good Faith Estimate
Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
